My geeky movie arch-nemesis!

Last night I went to the Movie Geeks Club showing of The Pianist at Capital City Bar & Grill. It's one of those movies that hits you with the emotional equivalent of Albert Pujols taking a home run swing to your gut. Its an excellent film to watch.

Friends sometimes jokingly refer to the Movie Geeks Club as my "competition" because they show movies the Tuesday after Liberty Brew & View. But anything promoting the idea that going to a movie at Capital City is a good time eventually helps out Liberty Brew & View. I usually miss their movies because they meet the same night as the Sierra Club on the fourth Tuesday but I finally made it this time. If you aren't at the Sierra Club meeting each month then you should be seeing their movie.

Next month they're showing The Seventh Seal by my favorite director of all time, Ingmar Bergman.

Will-

So glad you could make it last night. I couldn't agree more that what's good for Capital City Bar and Grill is good for both of our respective movie clubs. I'm glad you guys are making a go of it. I don't see them as being in competition at all. We're both doing pretty different things, and that's great. I'm all for diverse activities in this town. I'd love to make it to your next club. I've been meaning to, but somehow life always gets in the way. Again, thanks. It's always nice to get a plug.
