Day of Service

Today is the 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance as established by the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act. If you're looking for ways to become involved in central Illinois check out the Community Volunteer Center website. You can also share your story of service.

Personally, I'm happy that the emotions people feel about 9/11 will finally be channeled in a positive direction instead of being used to stoke fear and support a violent political agenda. It feels good.
