Pray the Devil Back to Hell on Colbert

Stephen Colbert had an interview with Leymah Gbowee who appears in the documentary Pray the Devil Back to Hell. He points out that she's from Africa and not a Hollywood celebrity. Apparently, American TV shows are allowed to have Africans speak about African issues. Does CNN know about this?
