Another fossil fuel politician bites the dust

Since I've written about the Murkowski resolution before, I want to take a moment to express how happy I am that Alaska Senator Lisa Mukowski lost her race for re-election this week. The campaign cash she took for being the fossil fuel industry's lap dog couldn't save her, even in a Republican primary.

Alaska is the state being hit first and hardest by climate change. Any Alaska politician who blocks meaningful action on climate change is helping to tie the noose for their state's economy and residents.

I don't know much about the two remaining candidates, but I look forward to hearing if one of them provides an alternative to Murkowski's pro-climate-change policies.
